Beard Transplant
Lack of facial hair growth and patchiness could be an outcome of either skin damage or genetics. A beard transplant, commonly referred to facial hair transplant, can be the cure for you if you have thin facial hair, patchiness, or facial injuries.
According to a new research, up to 45 percent of males are dissatisfied with the patchiness of their beard.
What does the term “hair transplantation operation” mean?
The surgical operation of hair transplantation is done to cure hair loss. Delicate portions of hair are often extracted from the back of the head and implanted in bald places of the beard.
What are the factors affecting the hair transplantation success?
1- The Donor Area’s Quality
The following are some of the factors that influence the donor area’s quality:
People with light hair or hair that is near in color to their skin tone frequently get the best outcomes.
Hair thickness: People with thicker hair tend to have better results than those with thinner hair. Each hair follicle is better covered with thicker hair.
Hairstyle: (straight or curly)
Hair follicle density at the donor site should be greater than 40 follicles per square centimeter.
2-If a patient has a long term illness, including diabetes, thyroid disease, or high blood pressure, he or she should be evaluated before the procedure.
3-Before an operation, a patient’s past surgical history regarding his or her anesthetic sensitivity is asked.
4- The age range that is acceptable:
The optimal candidate is between the ages of 25 – 65.
There are two main hair transplanting techniques:
1. Follicular unit extraction (FUE) using sapphire
After applying local anaesthetic to the patient, Sapphire FUE hair transplantation is used to obtain natural-looking results by extracting hair follicles from the donor area one by one with the assistance of a micro motor.
2-Direct hair implantation (DHI) procedure
The placing of hair follicles that are extracted separately into the transplantation region with the automatic Choi implanter pens is known as DHI Hair Transplantation.
Hair follicles are extracted gently and separately and implanted into the region with a Choi pen.
How long does it take to get hair transplanted?
Both FUE and DHI operations can take anywhere from 2-8 hours.
How long does it take to recover from a beard hair transplant technique?
-Without stitches, FUE hair transplant healing takes roughly 3-5 days.
-The healing time for DHI hair transplant is usually 4-5 days.
Will the transplanted hair fall out?
For the first 3 months post the operation, it is typical for a portion of your hair to come out. Recovery can take anywhere from 6 to 12 months. However, once the transplanted follicles have healed, they will start to grow hair and fill in the bald regions on your beard.
